Fonte Capital Ltd on the Jury at the Stock Pitch Competition, Nazarbayev University

On September 20, Nazarbayev University (NU) hosted the Stock Pitch Competition, organized by the Kazakhstan Finance Student Association (KFSA). The event brought together teams from several leading universities across the country.

The competition was held in two stages. In the first stage, teams prepared a one-page report analyzing U.S. stocks, based on which eight finalists were selected. The second round took place in the format of public presentations, where students pitched their investment ideas to a jury of industry experts.

The jury brought together experts from leading investment and financial organizations, including Alexey Gil, Chief Business Officer at Fonte Capital Ltd. The experts highlighted the high level of preparation demonstrated by the teams, the depth of their analysis, and the professional quality of the presentations, emphasizing that such competitions help students gain practical skills and better understand the specifics of the investment industry.

The top three teams were awarded the opportunity to complete internships at leading financial institutions — AIFC (Astana International Financial Centre), Fonte Capital Ltd, SkyBridge Invest, and Qazaqstan Investment Corporation (QIC).
