Fonte Capital participated in the Milken Institute Asia Summit 2025
At the Milken Institute 2025 Summit in Singapore, experts discussed the investment prospects of the Central Asian region.
From October 1 to 3, the 12th Milken Institute Asia Summit 2025 is being held in Singapore, dedicated to the theme “Progress with Purpose: Collaboration Amid Complexity.” The Summit traditionally brings together global leaders from business, finance, technology, healthcare, and government to discuss megatrends and develop strategic solutions aimed at accelerating global progress.
CEO of Fonte Capital Ltd, Yerzhan Mussin, took part in the panel session “Unlocking Central Asia: Opportunities in Kazakhstan,” focused on investment opportunities in the region.
The session was opened by Hadley Trahan, Princeton in Asia Fellow, Milken Institute.
The discussion was moderated by Sultan Marenov, Founder, Neo Bank; Co-Founder and Chairman, Kazakhstan-Singapore Business Council.
Other speakers included:
- Renat Bekturov, Governor, Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC);
- Diana Ablyakimova, Foreign Representative, Kazakh Invest;
- Olzhas Zhiyenkul, Founder, InvestBanq.
During the discussion, the speakers addressed the key drivers of growth in Central Asia — from reforms and support mechanisms for investors to the development of digital asset infrastructure, fintech, and venture investments.
“The development of digital asset infrastructure in Central Asia under the AIFC regulatory framework opens up new opportunities for both institutional and retail investors. The experience of launching the region’s first crypto exchange-traded funds — the Bitcoin ETF and the Solana ETF with staking — demonstrates that Kazakhstan is becoming an integral part of the global ecosystem and securing its place on the map of digital investments,” said Yerzhan Mussin, CEO of Fonte Capital Ltd, in his speech.
