Fonte Capital expands the range of regulated activities
Fonte Capital Ltd is pleased to announce the expansion of its activities due to the updated license and inclusion of new regulated services.

On June 25, 2024, the Astana Financial Services Authority (AFSA) of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) amended the company's existing license (AFSA-A-LA-2022-0004) to include the following regulated activities:
-
Collective investment schemes in respect of Exempt Funds;
-
Collective investment schemes in respect Non-Exempt Funds;
-
Advising on Investments;
-
Arranging deals in Investments;
-
Managing Investments;
-
Providing Fund Administration.
Previously, on January 27, 2022, Fonte Capital Ltd was granted a license to manage collective investment schemes for exempt funds with a scope of authorisation restricted to the specified Investments as units in a collective investment scheme.
Under the activities permitted by the license, Fonte Capital has achieved significant results. In two years, the management company has become a key player in the collective investment market within the AIFC, currently managing 10 investment funds, representing a diversified pool of investment instruments with access to various asset classes, allowing for capital returns significantly exceeding market averages.
Moreover, Fonte Capital actively participates in shaping the country's investment infrastructure by supporting strategically important projects and implementing advanced investment approaches. The company has launched Kazakhstan's first umbrella fund, the Fonte Emerging Markets Umbrella Fund, which represents an investment vehicle comprising several Sub-Funds, each with its unique investment objectives and strategies, while remaining as a single legal entity. Additionally, the company has launched the Fonte Innovation Fund, aimed at investing in digital assets.
"The receipt of a new license from AFSA reflects our commitment to high standards in collective investments and capital management in general and confirms the Company's dedication to sustainable development by executing long-term plans in Kazakhstan and the region. We continue to enhance our capabilities to provide clients with a broad range of investment solutions that meet the best global practices, undoubtedly facilitated by the developed financial ecosystem of the AIFC," noted Yerzhan Mussin, CEO of Fonte Capital.
